The Explorers Club
Great Britain and Ireland Chapter
“Uniting explorers and scientists in a new era of discovery”
Founded in New York City in 1904, The Explorers Club promotes the scientific exploration of land, sea, air, and space by supporting research and education in the physical, natural and biological sciences.
The Club’s members have been responsible for an illustrious series of famous firsts: First to the North Pole, first to the South Pole, first to the summit of Mount Everest, first to the deepest point in the ocean, first to the surface of the moon—all accomplished by our members.
Chapters of the The Explorers Club can be found all over the world creating individual communities of like-minded people from many different disciplines of exploration.
The members of the Great Britain and Ireland Chapter demonstrate through their passion of exploration their devotion to the disciplines of adventure.
Our patrons demonstrate the diversity of disciplines, environmental awareness and ultimately strength of mind. They come from different disciplines of exploration bound by the inner need to explore.
Our chapter is proud to recognise and build upon the pioneering expeditions of explorers from Great Britain and Ireland throughout history.
Our members have followed in their footsteps and have continued to push the boundaries of human intrigue, fortitude and determination.
Feel free to explore and in turn support of The Great Britain and Ireland Chapter.
All donations help to maintain the standard of our Chapter and to support future creative ideas.
As volunteers we are proud to serve our members in this new era of exploration. Feel free to connect with our team.
